What Is the PSL Scale? Free Face Score and Rating Test
PSL Scale is a free online PSL score test. Upload one front-facing photo and get a 1–8 rating for harmony, dimorphism, and angularity. Unlock a full write-up and softmax look if you want the paid report.

PSL Scale is a free online test that reads a single front-facing photo and returns a PSL score on a 1–8 curve. People also call that number a PSL rating. Same scale. It is harsher than a casual 1–10: four is average, six is already rare.
This site is not a beauty filter and not a personality report. It scores what is visible in the frame — bone, balance, and presentation — then tells you where that photo sits.
What you get for free
Upload a clear front-facing photo. No signup required for the first read.
- An overall PSL Scale score from 1.0 to 8.0
- Four breakdowns: harmony, dimorphism, angularity, and miscellaneous
- The tier name that matches that number
- A shareable result you can send as a link
The free result is the number and those four scores. It is a baseline for that photo, not a lifetime verdict.
What the paid report adds
If you want more than the number, the paid unlock is one report:
- Attractiveness percentile on this curve
- A softmax (potential) look generated from the same photo
- Strengths, weak areas, and a short list of visible changes
- Those change points are the same list used to generate the potential look
The after photo keeps your identity and bone. It is grooming, light, and presentation — not a new skull.
How a PSL Scale test works
- Upload a front-facing photo. Eye-level light, neutral face, one person, both ears if you can. Skip beauty mode and group shots.
- The model maps proportions and contour. Harmony is balance and midface. Dimorphism is sex-typical structure. Angularity is jaw, chin, and planes. Miscellaneous covers skin, brows, hair, nose, and under-eyes.
- You get the rating on the page. Retake under the same light and distance if you want to compare a haircut or a skin cycle later.
A bad selfie will swing a PSL Scale read more than a haircut. Lock the camera if you plan to run it twice.
Who it is for
Use it if you already talk in PSL terms and want a number on a photo, or if you want a blunt baseline before you change hair, fat, or grooming. Do not use it as medical advice, dating advice, or a claim about who you are off-camera.
Privacy
The photo is used to score that run. Result pages are not meant for search engines. Share links show the free score to a visitor and keep the paid write-up with the owner.
